After his first game with the franchise, Kyrie Irving engaged his new Dallas Mavericks fans by walking home with them.

Kyrie made a splash in the NBA when he requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets on Friday (February 3), which they granted and by Sunday (February 5) he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks.

Kyrie was the leading scorer with 24 points in his first game as a Maverick on Wednesday night (February 8) against the Los Angeles Clippers.

He appears to be very happy with his new situation in Dallas after expressing how he felt disrespected and underappreciated in Brooklyn.

Kyrie does have a reputation for tearing apart teams that he’s traded to, but his basketball skill set is undeniable.

He is older now, so perhaps he has turned over a new leaf.

He will play the remainder of the season with the Dallas Mavericks, whom he said made him feel welcomed and appreciated, before he becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer.

It would make sense for Kyrie to be the model teammate because he wants a max contract.
