Jay Leno said he’s “OK” after suffering serious facial burns in a freak car fire on Sunday (November 13).

Fans of the legendary comedian became alarmed when he had to pull out of his performance at the Financial Brand Forum 2022 in Las Vegas due to a “very serious medical emergency.”

An email sent to conference attendees read:

His family was not able to provide us very many details, but there was a very serious medical emergency that is preventing Jay from traveling.

All we know is that he is alive, so our prayers go out to him and his family tonight.

We now know that Jay Leno, who is an avid car collector was in his Los Angeles garage where he stores his dozens of prized vehicles when one of them reportedly burst into flames severely burning the left side of his face.

Jay was transported to LA’s Grossman Burn Center for treatment.

In a statement to Variety, the 72-year-old former host of “The Tonight Show” said, “I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am OK. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet.”

Please send up a prayer and positive energy to Jay Leno as he recovers.
