Taylor Swift’s upcoming collaboration with Ice Spice may be some cleanup work for her boyfriend Matty Healy’s derogatory comments about the rapper.
Matty Healy, the English lead vocalist for the pop rock band The 1975, appeared on “The Adam Friedland Show,” in February, and he, Adam Friedland, and show producer Nick Mullen, threw a lot of slander at Ice Spice for no apparent reason.
They referred to her as a chubby Chinese lady and an Eskimo, while mocking Chinese and Hawaiian accents.
Listen to the audio from “The Adam Friedland Show” below:
To add insult to injury the resurfaced clip added Ice Spice at the beginning, stating how much she loves Matty Healy’s band The 1975.
Reportedly, Matty apologized last month to Ice Spice for offending her.
According to sources, Taylor Swift and Matty Healy have been together since May, after she and her partner Joe Alwyn ended their six-year relationship in April.
After the slander, but before the apology, Ice Spice presented Taylor Swift with the “Song of the Year” award for “Anit-Hero” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 27.
Now, Taylor Swift and Ice Spice have both taken to social media to promote their “Karma” collaboration slated to come out on Friday, May 26, as a part of Taylor Swift’s Midnights (Til Dawn Edition) deluxe album.
