Brittish Williams, a former cast member of VH1’s reality TV show, “Basketball Wives,” admitted to 15 federal crimes in a St. Louis court on Wednesday (May 24).

As part of a plea agreement, Brittish Williams pleaded guilty to five counts of misuse of a Social Security number, four counts of bank fraud, three counts of making false statements to the IRS, and three counts of wire fraud.

Prosecutors say the 33-year-old former reality TV star used false Social Security numbers in 2017 to obtain lines of credit, loans, and other funds from banks.

In 2018 and 2019, she allegedly deposited four checks between the amounts of $4,500 and $5,800 into accounts she controlled.

Then, Brittish withdrew the money before the checks bounced or the bank realized the checks were fraudulent.

The owners of the checks were unaware of the deposits.

She is also accused of falsely claiming dependents on her 2017-2019 tax returns using false names and Social Security numbers.

Brittish Williams also submitted fake medical bills to an insurance company and defrauded the company of nearly $140,000.

In total, her fraud schemes amounted to nearly $450,000 in losses.

Brittish Williams took to IG on Wednesday to release the following statement:

Anything I’ve went through that a normal person would go through privately I went through publicly.

I hope my story, journey and my growth can help someone going through something similar or stops the next person from doing anything that could possibly have them in the same situation as me.

I am not ashamed, I am not phased by comments or opinions. I am proud of the woman and mother I am TODAY.

Everything I’ve been through I needed to go through. I have learned patience, humility, and most of all compassion for every walk of life.

I don’t believe in loses. Just lessons to make better decisions in the future! Love you! And thanks for rocking with me!
