Ice Cube said his name is Bennett and he ain’t in it!
The legendary rapper, actor, and businessman took to Twitter on Tuesday (October 18) to let folks know he doesn’t appreciate having his name dragged into Kanye West‘s antisemitic mess during his controversial “Drink Champs” interview.
You may recall, Kanye referenced Ice Cube multiple times during his rants against Jews and credited Cube for inspiring his stance.
The three-hour interview has since been pulled following all of the backlash and a lawsuit from the family of George Floyd.
Ice Cube took to Twitter to make it very clear that in no way did he influence Kanye’s antisemitic rhetoric.
He also stated that he is not antisemitic and he has never been.
I hate that my name was dragged into this Drunk Champs bullsh*t.
I don’t know what Ye meant by his statements, you’re gonna have to ask him.
I didn’t put the batteries in his back.
Please leave my name out of all the antisemitic talk. I’m not antisemitic and never have been.
