Update: Authorities confirm a 17-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday morning in the murder of rapper PnB Rock at a Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in South Los Angeles.
Initially, the LAPD identified Freddie Lee Trone as a suspect in the killing.
We now know the 17-year-old, who was arrested, is the son of Trone.
Law enforcement sources say the father and son were in the parking lot of the restaurant when PnB Rock and his girlfriend arrived.
It is believed that the teen killed the rapper and that his father drove the getaway car.
Freddie Lee Trone is still on the loose and he is believed to be armed and dangerous.

The Los Angeles Police Department has identified Freddie Lee Trone, as a suspect in the murder of rapper PnB Rock.
PnB Rock was shot and killed inside a Los Angeles Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles on Monday (September 12) afternoon.
The rapper was dining with his girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang, who posted a photo of their meal with a geotag on social media.
Around 1:30 p.m. PST, police received a call for a shooting victim.
Sources connected to the restaurant told TMZ that it appeared that PnB Rock was targeted by the shooter because no one else was shot or assaulted.
The rapper was pronounced dead at 1:59 p.m.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Freddie Lee Trone shot PnB Rock and removed some of his property, then he demanded his girlfriend’s belongings.
Trone then took off in a waiting vehicle.
Trone is considered armed and dangerous, and police are advising anyone who sees him to call 911.
