Family Of Ezra Blount Declined Travis Scott’s Offer To Cover Funeral

21

The family of Ezra Blount declined Travis Scott‘s offer to cover his funeral expenses.

10 people died in the wake of the Astroworld Festival with 9-year-old Ezra being the youngest victim.

Travis Scott has offered to cover the final arrangements of those who lost their lives, but the Blount family declined his offer.

In a letter obtained by Rolling Stone, Blount family attorney Bob Hilliard wrote:

Your client’s offer is declined.

I have no doubt Mr. Scott feels remorse. His journey ahead will be painful. He must face and hopefully see that he bears some of the responsibility for this tragedy.

There may be, and I hope there is, redemption and growth for him on the other side of what this painful process will be — and perhaps one day, once time allows some healing for the victims and acceptance of responsibility by Mr. Scott and others, Treston and Mr. Scott might meet, as there is also healing in that.

Ezra was laid to rest on November 23 at the Inspiring Body of Christ Church in Dallas.

Hundreds of people attended the service to pay their respects and say their final goodbyes to a young man whose life was cut short.

My continued prayers to the Blount family and all of the families impacted and forever changed by the Astroworld Festival tragedy.
