Don Lemon revealed that Elon Musk canceled “The Don Lemon Show” on X hours after their interview for the premiere episode.
“Elon Musk has canceled the partnership I had with X,” the former CNN host wrote in a statement released via Instagram.
Don continued, “He informed me of his decision hours after an interview I conducted with him on Friday.”
Apparently, something in Don Lemon’s interview with Elon Musk prompted a sudden change of heart regarding their partnership.
There were no restrictions on the interview that he willingly agreed to, and my questions were respectful and wide ranging, covering everything from SpaceX to the presidential election.
We had a good conversation.
Clearly he felt differently.
His commitment to a global town square where all questions can be asked and all ideas can be shared seems not to include questions of him from people like me.
Don wrapped up his statement by reaffirming his commitment to free speech and continuing “The Don Lemon Show.”
Our conversation will be available on YouTube, where you list to podcasts and X👀.
This will be just the first of many episode of ‘The Don Lemon Show.’
While Elon goes back on his word, I will be doubling down on my commitment to free speech and I cannot wait to get started.
See Don’s original statement below.
Don also shared this video via Instagram…
Elon Musk is a wild boy!
But, no weapon formed against Don Lemon shall prosper.
You may recall that CNN just paid Don $24.5 million – his full salary for the remaining 3.5 years of his contract after firing him last April.
