Earn Your Leisure Founders Discuss Their Plans To Change The American School System

The Earn Your Leisure Guys Tell KG Their Plans To Change The American School System

The founders of Earn Your Leisure (EYL), Troy Millings and Rashad Bilal, recently appeared on Kevin Garnett’s Showtime show, “KG Certified,” and discuss their plans to change the American school system.

The EYL network is described as “a revolutionary network which gives rise to emerging and established content creators from the world of business, finance, and entrepreneurship whose perspective, expertise, and in-depth insight have been undervalued and overlooked.”

In the clip posted to the Earn Your Leisure Instagram account, KG asked the founders of EYL, “Have you guys ever thought about, actually, coming out with y’all own way of doing?”

They responded:

We’re working on a curriculum right now.

So we working with the New York City School Department.

It’s crazy because New York City School Department is the largest school district in America.

I think it’s like 900 thousand students…

So, this is the largest school district in America, it’s the capital of capitalism, Wall Street, and all of that, and there is no financial literacy in the school district at all.

So it’s like how does that even make sense?

They discussed how they plan to start with their financial literacy curriculum in New York and then expand to Chicago and Los Angeles and eventually to every school in America.
