One of the biggest criticisms Diddy received for his video apology is the fact that he did not directly apologize to Cassie or say her name.

According to a new report, Diddy is legally barred from saying Cassie’s name.

TMZ reports that the sexual assault lawsuit Diddy settled with Cassie in November 2023 includes a strict NDA that prohibits both of them from speaking about the other in public.

This would explain why Cassie has declined to comment on anything regarding the disgraced music mogul.

The outlet also claims Diddy’s attorneys examined his apology video with a fine-toothed comb to make sure he didn’t violate his NDA or taint his defense in his other pending sexual assault lawsuits.

The NDA didn’t prohibit Cassie’s attorney, Meredith Firetog, from handling her light work.
