Confederate Flag-Lovin Daniel Sims Is The Real-Life Clayton Bigsby

20

Every so often we have a moment when life imitates art and confederate flag-lovin Daniel Sims has brought Dave Chappelle’s Clayton Bigsby character to life.

Sims is a black man from Albertville, Alabama, and a clip of him supporting the confederate flag and defending a confederate monument has gone viral on social media.

Many are likening him to the infamous “Chappelle Show” character, Clayton Bigsby, a blind white supremacist who is black.

In the WHNT 19 news report, Daniel Sims, who is a member of the group Sons of Confederate Veterans, said:

Regardless of how the next person feels…I’m not going to take my flag down. If I got anything to do with it ain’t no monument gone come down.

My whole family is white. I went to an all-white school. I grew up in an all-white neighborhood.

My grandfather was white and he was the main one who fought in this war here. And he’s taught me everything that I know.

Watch the clip for yourself!

This is too much for my Black Is King soul to digest today!
