Chris Harrison announced he is taking a break from his duties as host of “The Bachelor” after he made excuses for “Bachelor” season 25 frontrunner Rachael Kirkconnell, who has faced accusations of racism, including partaking in an event that glorified the Antebellum era.

During an interview with Rachel Lindsay, Chris seemingly defended Rachael’s racist shenanigans saying, “Is it [not] a good look in 2018, or is it not a good look in 2021?

The other women who are competing this season for the love of Matt James, the first Black bachelor, released a statement denouncing any defense of racism.

The fellas from season 16 of “The Bachelorette” also released a statement denouncing racism.

Now, that Chris Harrison has played himself publicly, he has taken to social media to issue an apology and he’s taking a hiatus to lay low until the dust settles.

Oh, and about Antebellum Rachael Kirkconnell…

She took to social media to issue an apology last week for her racist shenanigans.

Whew, Chile! When you audition for “The Bachelor” and forget you participated in racist reindeer games.
