Shaun King says he and his family are devastated because they have to move out of their new home as a result of their safety has been compromised.
Long story short…
Earlier this year, Shaun and his family relocated from Brooklyn to Brunswick, New Jersey, after his wife, Rai King, purchased a $842,000 home.
Multiple news outlets posted photos of the home, the address, and all the deets about the home including the square footage and amenities.
Why? Because Shaun King is constantly accused of shady practices when it comes to his charitable efforts and his handling of donations.
The coverage of his new beautiful home has only added fuel to the fire because it fits the narrative that Shaun is stealing money for his own personal use.
In multiple posts on social media, the controversial civil rights activist opened up about the painstaking decision he and his family had to make about leaving their new home now that their safety has been compromised.
“Strangers have already started coming by the house,” he wrote.
Shaun went on to share how incredibly heartbreaking all of this is because of how hard his wife worked to be able to purchase their home.
My wife bought this home, her first, after working her ass off for 20+ years. It took her nearly a year to even be able to purchase it.
It was a quiet and peaceful refuge for her, for our 5 kids, for the dogs, and for our mothers. And it wasn’t excessive. Again, she got a literal FHA loan to purchase it. I’m not even on the loan.
Shaun King turned to his supporters for financial help to assist in finding a new home, relocating, and around-the-clock security.

We now need to find a new home, relocate, and have 24/7 security. The costs are outrageous.
And to be frank – we just don’t have it. We weren’t prepared for this.

I can’t begin to imagine what Shaun and his family are going through.
My prayers to them.
