Two Tennessee women were busted at a Dollar General on April 5 when they tried to purchase several items and gift cards with a $1 million counterfeit bill.
According to the police report, Amanda McCormick, 39, said she received the bill in the mail from a church. Surprisingly, she couldn’t remember the name of the church.
McCormick told police she was using the money to purchase items to make care packages for homeless people.
Her accomplice, Linda Johnson, 61, said she was unaware of the money and was only riding with Amanda to run errands.
Both women received a verbal no trespass warning for the Dollar General, the counterfeit bill was confiscated, and they were sent on their way.
But, George Floyd allegedly had counterfeit $20 and was killed by police.
