Two LA firefighters received “intention to discharge” letters for taking pictures at Kobe’s crash site, according to Vanessa Bryant’s legal team.
The legal documents state that the fire department held their own internal investigation and found that one of the firefighters, who was supposed to be there to secure the scene that day, took graphic pictures of the victims’ remains.
Both firefighters shared the pics with an L.A. County Fire media relations officer, who passed the pictures around to other firefighters.
The media relations officer was sent a suspension notice.
It’s is unknown if the two L.A. firefighters have been officially fired.
Initially, Vanessa’s attorneys filed legal documents about scheduling the trial in her invasion of privacy lawsuit against L.A. County, and to their surprise, they found out that the L.A. County Fire Department was mixed up in the photo taking and sharing.
