Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is trending on Twitter after taking the stand on Thursday to testify in her misconduct hearing.Â
Willis is facing misconduct allegations that could result in her being disqualified from the case against former President Donald Trump.Â
Fani Willis is accused of carrying on a romantic relationship with Nathan Wade, the lead prosecutor in the Georgia election interference case against Trump.
Earlier this month, Willis acknowledged she had a personal relationship with Wade, but denied that it was improper.
Fani Willis was grilled with endless questions about her relationship with Nathan Wade from phone calls, home visits, and trips they took together.
Eventually, Fani grew annoyed with many of the questions and eventually said, âYouâre confused. You think Iâm on trial. These people are on trial for trying to steal an election in 2020.”
She added: “Iâm not on trial, no matter how hard you try to put me on trial.â
