Tyler Perry Releases A Statement Regarding His Nephew’s Death In Jail

Tyler Perry has taken to social media to release a statement regarding his nephew, Gavin Porter, who reportedly hung himself in his cell.

In his statement, the media mogul said he was hopeful that Gavin, who was serving 20 years for murdering his father, would serve his time, become a better man, and eventually come work for him.

Tyler went on to say his nephew “allegedly” killed himself, but he doesn’t trust the prison system. So, he has hired Dr. Michael Baden to conduct a second autopsy.

He closed by thanking everyone for the outpouring of love and prayers in their time of loss.
