According to Arlington police, the shooting occurred around 9:15 a.m., shortly after a fight broke out between Simpkins and another student.

That’s when Simpkins allegedly drew a weapon and fired multiple shots that struck two people, including a 15-year-old male, who is in critical condition, and a 25-year-old male, who is in good condition.

A teenage girl was also injured and hospitalized and a pregnant teacher was hurt in a fall, but she was treated at the scene.

Timothy George Simpkins, 18, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He is currently being held in jail on $75,000 bond.

Police have recovered the .45 caliber gun.

First hand accounts of the harrowing events are being shared on social media as one student shared footage of the fight that ultimately led to the shooting.
