The Weeknd put up $7M of his own money for his Super Bowl LV performance next Sunday.
Damn bruh!
The organizers are covering all the production costs, which is normal, but the Weeknd wanted to make sure his show lives up to what he envisioned.
The Weeknd was snubbed by the Grammy nominating committee this year, even though his latest album, After Hours, had numerous songs that spent weeks at the top of the charts.
He may be viewing his Super Bowl performance as a chance to show the Grammy board and the world that his album is worthy of Grammy recognition.
I must admit I’m anxious to see what a $7M Super Bowl performance looks like.
The Weeknd has been on some morbid, horror vibes in his most recent videos so there is no telling what he has in store for the Super Bowl.
Don’t forget to stick around for the Weeknd’s $7M halftime show next Sunday at Super Bowl LV.
What would be your first purchase if you came into $7M?
