The Weeknd Dominates The Billboard Music Awards With 10 Wins

The Weeknd racked up last night at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards winning 10 gold microphone awards for his album, After Hours, after being snubbed by the Grammys.

The Grammy committee didn’t even nominate The Weeknd for an award this year, and he went off on them for not recognizing his talent.

The Weeknd believes the Grammy snub was due to him choosing to perform at the Super Bowl LV Halftime Show instead of the Grammy Awards Show.

He vowed to boycott the Grammys from now own “because of the secret committees.”

The Billboard Awards are based on album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, therefore, making their award much more credible than a Grammy.

The Weeknd was all smiles last night as he picked up Billboard awards in the following categories: Top Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Hot 100 Song Presented by Rockstar; Top Male Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Male Artist, Top R&B Album, Top Radio Song and Top R&B.

Big congratulations to the weekend!

He is now tied with Drake for the most Billboard Award wins with 19.

It’s a great feeling when you prove your doubters wrong… Shout out to the Grammys!
