While visiting “The Breakfast Club” to promote her new reality TV series, “Bold and Bougie,” Tameka Raymond recalled how an interview with Wendy Williams had a detrimental impact on her career.
The stylist, author, and reality TV personality shared how she was so excited to be a guest on Wendy’s wildly popular radio show, but she wasn’t fully informed or aware of Wendy’s shock jock tendencies or her infamous swoop downs.
Tameka Raymond said she went on the show thinking it would give her career a boost, but it ended up having the opposite effect.
“It was all bad,” Tameka said.
Once the interview started, Wendy immediately began asking Tameka personal and intrusive questions about Usher and his relationship with his mother, Jonnetta Patton.
Tameka, who was the R&B superstar’s stylist at the time, did her best to remain professional and answer the questions in a way that wouldn’t cause her to lose her job.
But, Wendy quickly grew frustrated with Tameka side-stepping her questions.
Tameka Raymond recalled, “I got kicked out of the studio.”
She also said after that interview Wendy Williams dragged her for years and even brought her up in her documentary.
She shared that the media began calling her “a man” and saying that she was “ugly.”
