Stevie Wonder Sends Message To Senators About The Voting Rights Bill

Stevie Wonder released a video on his official YouTube channel with a message to senators as the fight to get the voting rights bill passed continues.

In the video, the musical legend is seated at his piano and he says:

Any senator who cannot support the protection of voting rights in the United States of America cannot say that they support the Constitution.

Stop the hypocrisy!

Cut the bullsh*t!

If you care and support our rights, do the hard work!

You can’t please everybody, but you can protect all of us.

The Senate is expected to take up the Democrats’ voting rights bill this week.

However, Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema will not support changing the filibuster, which Republicans have repeatedly used to block voting rights bills.

Basically, with the filibuster in place, Democrats need 60 votes to get the bill passed in a 50-50 Senate.

This is America.
