Chicago-based R&B singer Ann Marie got cased up in Atlanta after she allegedly shot a man in the head.
The shooting took place on December 1 at a Buckhead hotel.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim, who was still somewhat responsive, was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was declared to be in critical condition.
Ann Marie told officers that a gun had fallen off of the table in the room and went off striking the victim in the head.
Officers say she was distraught and screaming hysterically. She repeatedly asked if the victim would be okay.
The singer claimed she and the victim were childhood friends who were visiting from Chicago. Unconfirmed reports claim the victim was Ann Marie’s boyfriend and she shot him for being unfaithful.
25-year-old Ann Marie (real name Joann Marie Slater) was arrested and booked into Fulton County Jail on charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
