Regina King is the gift that keeps on giving.

The incomparable Oscar-winning actress AND director made history at the Venice Film Festival.

Her directorial debut, One Night in Miami, premiered at the Venice Film Festival on Tuesday.

This is huge considering One Night in Miami is the first film directed by a Black woman to be selected to premiere at the Venice Film Festival in its 88-year-long history.

The film is a fictional account of one incredible night where icons Muhammad AliMalcolm X, Sam Cooke, and Jim Brown gathered discussing their roles in the civil rights movement and cultural upheaval of the 60s.

I’m just waiting on Amazon Prime Video to drop the release date and it’s on!

Congratulations, Regina King!

You deserve!
