HBO Max has announced the stars of “Rap Sh*t,” their forthcoming original series from Issa Rae.
“Rap Sh*t” follows two estranged high school friends from Miami, Shawna and Mia, who reunite to form a rap group.
The streamer placed an eight-episode order to the half-hour comedy series from the “Insecure” co-creator, Syreeta Singleton and City Girls hip hop duo Yung Miami and JT.
Get the scoop on the cast below:
Aida Osman (Executive Story Editor on “Rap Sh*t,” Host of Crooked Media Podcast “Keep It”) will play “Shawna,” an aspiring rapper that hasn’t seen success and continues to work her day job at a touristy hotel.
KaMillion (Rapper/Singer of “Twerk 4 Me,” “Love & Hip Hop Miami”) will play “Mia,” a makeup artist and estranged friend of Shawna’s. She is a single mother to a four-year-old daughter and works three jobs.
Jonica Booth (“Bad Girls Club”) will play “Chastity.” Chastity is a “sex work manager” and refers to herself as the “Duke of Miami.”
