A lie don’t care who tell it and a rumor don’t care who starts it! Oprah Winfrey took to social media to deny reports that claim her home was raided and she was arrested.

On Tuesday night, the media mogul was trending on Twitter after a rumor spread like a wildfire claiming she and other celebrities had been arrested for sex trafficking.

Oprah was alerted of the story and took to the streets of Twitter to address the “awful” fake news.

Just got a phone call that my name is trending. And being trolled for some awful FAKE thing. It’s NOT TRUE. Haven’t been raided, or arrested. Just sanitizing and self distancing with the rest of the world. Stay safe everybody. ??

I’m sure this rumor took flight because Oprah Winfrey and her bestie, Gayle King, have been heavily criticized for their bias when it comes to sexual predators.
