Movie Scoop: ‘TIME’ Review (Amazon Prime Video)

Imagine being young and in love. Then, you and your lover make a poor decision that changes your lives and takes away the one thing you both can never get back – TIME.

I recently watched the Amazon Studios documentary, TIME, which follows the lives, struggles, and unbreakable love of Fox Rich and Rob G. Rich.

Fox and Rob were high school sweethearts.

They tied the knot in 1997 and they had dreams of owning an urban clothing store in Shreveport.

But, when money got tight and they felt their dream slipping away, Fox and Rob made the ultimate poor choice of robbing a bank.

Fox served nearly four years in jail and Rob was sentenced to 60 years behind bars.

TIME was a beautiful film that truly displayed how real love can stand the test of time.

Fox was captivating to watch.

She is the epitome of a strong black woman of God who raised her sons without a father present in the home, she ran a business, advocated and educated others all while fighting to free her man from prison.

Aside from focusing on the love story between Fox and Rob, the film also brought your attention to mass incarceration, excessive sentences for crimes, and the unmeasurable impact having a loved one behind bars has on an entire family.

We have worked tirelessly to reunite our family and we adamantly rebel against any system that works to divide us.

TIME is a must-see.

Watch the trailer below.

The film is currently playing in select theaters in the U.S. and will begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video on October 16.
