Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway, one-half of the pro-Trump political duo known as “Diamond and Silk,” passed away on Monday (January 9).
She was 51.
Diamond’s passing was announced on the duo’s official Facebook page.
The statement read:
The World just lost a True Angel and Warrior Patriot for Freedom, Love, and Humanity! Diamond blazed a trail, founded on her passion and love for the entire race of humanity.
In this time of grief, please respect the privacy of Diamond’s family but remember and celebrate the gift that she gave us all!
Memorial Ceremony to be announced soon.
Diamond’s sister, Rochelle Hardaway Richardson, who is known as “Silk,” set up a crowdfunding campaign, which has raised over $50,000 in donations.
Diamond’s cause of death is unknown at this time, however, Silk took to Twitter in November to solicit prayers for her sister after she was reportedly hospitalized with COVID-19.
You may recall Diamond and Silk were fired by Fox News in August 2020 for allegedly spreading harmful misinformation about the virus.
Donald Trump paid his respects to Diamond writing:
Really bad news for Republicans and frankly, ALL Americans.
Our beautiful Diamond, of Diamond and Silk, has just passed away at her home in the State she loved so much, North Carolina.
Silk was with her all the way, and at her passing. There was no better TEAM anywhere, or at any time!
Diamond’s death was totally unexpected, probably her big and precious HEART just plain gave out.
Rest In Peace our Magnificent Diamond, you will be greatly missed!
My condolences to the family of Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway.
