Love may be blind, but the writing is always on the wall. Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely are no longer two peas in a pod.

The couple who fell in love and tied the knot on Season 2 of the hit Netflix series, “Love Is Blind,” took to their respective Instagram accounts on Tuesday (August 17) to announce their divorce.

The joint statement reads:

What’s going on, family. After much thought, we’re saddened to share that we have separated and will begin the process of divorcing.

While we have love for each other, our lives are going in different directions, and that’s okay.

Coming to this decision was far from easy and will always wish each other the absolute best.

We hope you all will give us some space as we close this chapter of our lives.

Thank you to our close friends and family for loving us both through our experience.

To the Love Is Blind family and Netflix, thank you for this unforgettable opportunity and support.

Each of you have brought overwhelming love and joy into our lives.

This experience has taught us so much about ourselves, vulnerability and love.

We don’t regret a single thing!

If you are a fan of “Love Is Blind” and watched Season 2 this news, while sad, doesn’t come as a surprise.

Jarrette Jones was blindly in love with Mallory Zapata and proposed to her.

When she turned him down for Salvador, Jarrette spun on his heels and proposed to Iyanna.

To my dismay, she accepted the proposal in hopes of getting her happily ever after – even if she was Jarrette’s second option.

After the proposal, Jarrette shot his shot at Mallory one more time before moving forward with his nuptials.

I wish Iyanna McNeely the very best and if anything I hope this experience has taught her to never accept being someone’s second option or backup plan.
