Lauren London is trending after Issa Rae revealed (in her Vanity Fair cover story) Nipsey Hussle helped mend their relationship.
The issue began when TV executives wanted to cast Lauren as the star of “Insecure,” the series Issa created inspired by her own life.
During interviews, Issa called Lauren out by name, which causes friction between the two.
One of my biggest regrets, naming her. She took offense to that.
At a Diddy party, two years ago, Nipsey stepped in to build a bridge between the ladies.
He was like, ‘You should just talk to her. Let me set it up.’
It actually sparked an amazing two-hour conversation. We had so much in common. She was like, ‘People don’t understand, I’m an awkward Black girl.’
In the same way that I was upset about the limited portrayal of Black women, she was like, ‘People do the same thing to me.’ I completely get that.
Unfortunately, Issa has called Lauren out by name again while sharing the story of their mended relationship and it has gone left on social media.

Anyway Lauren is minding her business. She never asked for the role the TV Execs wanted her. Issa stood her ground they cool now move on people.
