Kim Potter: Minnesota Police Officer Who Fatally Shot Daunte Wright Resigns

Kim Potter, the Minnesota police officer who fatally shot Daunte Wright during a traffic stop over the weekend, has resigned. 

Wright, 20, was with his girlfriend on Sunday afternoon, driving to his older brother’s house, when he was pulled over in Brooklyn Center for an expired tag. 

Officers learned he had an outstanding warrant and tried handcuff him while he was standing outside of his car. 

Daunte broke free from the officers and attempted to get back into his car. 

That’s when Officer Kim Potter pulled her gun and shot him. 

The car door closed and Wright drove away. The car crashed a few blocks away and Daunte died at the scene.

Potter, who has been on the force for 25 years, claims she mistook her taser for her service weapon.

In 2019, Kim Potter was admonished by investigators for allegedly helping other officers conceal evidence in the shooting death of a 21-year-old autistic man.

She’s been trash and should be charged with murder.
