Jerry Harris: Star Of Netflix’s ‘Cheer’ Accused Of Sex Abuse In Lawsuit

Jerry Harris, one of the students who starred in the Emmy-nominated Netflix series, “Cheer,” has been accused of sex abuse in a new lawsuit.

In a lawsuit filed on Monday in the District Court of Tarrant County in Texas, 14-year-old twin brothers accused Jerry of soliciting sex, sending sexually explicit messages via text and social media. They also accused him of asking them to send nude photos of themselves.

But, that’s not all. The lawsuit also alleges Jerry Harris, who is now 21-years-old, asked one of the boys for oral sex at a cheerleading competition and threatened “imminent physical bodily injury.”

Via the NY Times:

The suit accuses Mr. Harris of “sexual harassment, exploitation abuse and molestation” of the boys. It states they are now “limited in their ability to meaningfully interact with others due to the trauma of childhood sexual abuse.”

A spokesperson for Jerry denied the accusations in a statement to People:

We categorically dispute the claims made against Jerry Harris, which are alleged to have occurred when he was a teenager. We are confident that when the investigation is completed, the true facts will be revealed.

After the news of the lawsuit broke, Jerry has turned off comments on his Instagram page.

I will keep you updated as this story.
