Jason Momoa recently revealed in an interview that after filming “Game of Thrones” things got really real to the point where his family was starving.
I mean, we were starving after ‘Game of Thrones.’ I couldn’t get work. It’s very challenging when you have babies and you’re completely in debt.
Jason Momoa is married to Lisa Bonet, and they have two children Lola and Wolf, who are 13 and 11.
Momoa also revealed via his Instagram account that once he was too broke to fly home while starring on “Game of Thrones.”
Damn! How much were they paying him over at HBO?… Maybe he was in between checks.
Momoa has since got his finances in order after starring in Justice League, Aquaman, and Dune, due out next year.
Momoa says his role in Dune made him realize how far he’s come from the Game of Thrones days.
It was ‘Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem… And I’m just like, Oh my god. I can’t believe my name was with those names.’ I feel like I’m still a kid, freaking out.
Momoa’s career is on the rise, his family is happy, and his finances are in order, but he still goes to therapy to work on learning to relax and to help him as a parent.
I didn’t know what it takes to be a dad. And I don’t want to just tell my son, ‘Because I said so.’ I really want to connect, and I want him to be vulnerable and open.
Who would’ve thought Drago from Game of Thrones was broke in real life? You definitely can’t judge a book by it’s cover.
