On the heels of his successful Netflix film, Project Power, Jamie Foxx has signed on to produce and star in Day Shift, a vampire thriller at the streaming giant.
According to Netflix, Jamie will star as a hard working blue-collar dad who just wants to provide a good life for his quick-witted 8-year old daughter.
His mundane San Fernando Valley pool cleaning job is a front for his real source of income, hunting and killing vampires.
JJ Perry will make his directorial debut with the project. He is best known for his work as a second-unit director and stunt coordinator for films like Bloodshot, The Fate of the Furious, and the John Wick films.
The script for Day Shift was discovered at a screenplay competition.
In addition to this project, Jamie Foxx is co-starring and producing the upcoming thriller, They Cloned Tyrone, as well as his series, “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me.”
Last, but certainly not least, he is starring in Disney and Pixar’s Soul, which premieres on Disney+ on Christmas Day.
