Jaheim was arrested and charged with animal cruelty after police discovered 15 dogs living in deplorable conditions at his New Jersey home.

Police went to the R&B singer’s home on Monday morning to investigate a report of a “puppy in distress” and found six dogs in the driveway.

According to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, some dogs were found in crates filled with feces and several inches of water.

Nine more dogs were found inside the house “in varying stages of emaciation” and without access to water or food.

A total of 15 dogs were found on the property.

One dog was found unresponsive and later had to be euthanized.

Two other dogs, in very poor condition, were taken to an emergency vet clinic for treatment.

All 14 of the surviving dogs were eventually taken to Long Hill Kennel in Hillsborough.

12 of the dogs, including the one who died, were mixed breed pit bull terriers and two were American Staffordshire terriers and one was a mixed breed boxer.

Jaheim was arrested at his home and charged with third-degree animal cruelty and failure to provide necessary care to an animal.

He was booked into the Somerset County Jail pending a court hearing.
