Hurricane Chris took to social media to make a statement less than a week after he was arrested and charged with 2nd-degree murder.
The 31-year-old rapper, real name Christopher Dooley, allegedly shot and killed a man at a Texaco gas station in Shreveport early Friday (June 19) morning.
In the video posted on his official Instagram page, Hurricane Chris said:
I’m sure you got the news by now. I was involved in a very unfortunate incident on Friday morning…a very unfortunate incident.
I want to thank everybody who’s been praying for the family of the deceased and everybody who’s been praying for my family.
After a good thorough investigation, my name will be cleared. Let God work, watch God work…God bless.
My prayer is that the truth prevails and justice is served.
