A GoFundMe campaign launched in support for Subhakar Khadka, the Uber driver who was assaulted by a maskless woman, raised over $50,000 in one day.
Cyan Banister, an Uber investor and venture capitalist, created the GoFundMe page after viewing the video of Khadka being attacked on Twitter.
She said she was outraged by the way the three women behaved in the Uber and she had to do something to help him.
I don’t understand how anyone can behave the way those three women behaved, and I just felt like there had to be something I could do to help him.
The money was raised to cover Khadka’s living expenses while he can’t work and recovers from the altercation.
It’s unclear to me why he cannot continue to work, perhaps emotional trauma.

Subhakar Khadka definitely owes Cyan Banister and all the contributors to the GoFundMe page a debt of gratitude.
