Gary Owen detailed his harmless date with Wendy Williams during his “Club Shay Shay” interview with Shannon Sharpe.
The comedian and actor recalled that after his divorce from Kenya Duke, he was a guest on the “Wendy Show” and she asked him out on a date.
Gary said after the show, Wendy Williams called him and said she was indeed interested in him, but “it’s just dinner” and “it’s public.”
She also noted other people would be there.
Gary Owen told Shannon, “Why wouldn’t I meet her for dinner in a public place?”
“However you feel about Wendy, she’s a mogul and she rolled the dice on herself.”
Gary continued, “Why wouldn’t I sit down and have dinner with somebody just to talk and that’s all we did. I Ubered to the restaurant, I got there, we talked…I Ubered back to my hotel.”
For the record, Gary Owen said, “I didn’t sleep with her.”

Considering the challenges Wendy Williams is facing right now…Shannon Sharpe shouldn’t have asked Gary about her.
But, I’m glad Gary Owen handled the situation with class.
