Jay Cutler told Sage Steele she was referred to as “the Candace Owens of ESPN” on a recent episode of his “Uncut” podcast, and Sage was caught so off guard that even she had to laugh.
After laughing, Sage responded with, “I respect the hell out of Candace Owens because whether you agree or not she doesn’t give a crap what you think, and she’s going to say what’s on her mind.”

Sage Steele and Candace Owens share a lot of the same political ideologies so the comparison is on point, in my opinion.
Sage is known for having unpopular takes on political and social issues that are sports related and non-sports related, especially when those issues involve Black people.
She once said her White husband should be praised for marrying into a bi-racial culture completely different from his own.
She is currently divorced from that White husband and paying him alimony.
During the interview, Sage admits that she only got vaccinated because ESPN mandated it.
She described the ESPN vax mandate as “sick” and “scary.”
