Dr. Dre and Nicole Young have filed their settlement agreement, officially ending their messy divorce, and Dre has agreed to pay Nicole $100 million.
According to the agreement, Nicole will receive $50 million now and the other $50 million a year from now.
Dre will keep seven of the properties they own, including four homes in Los Angeles, two homes in Calabasas, and a home in Malibu.
He will maintain full rights to his masters, trademarks, and interest in various partnerships and trusts.
He also secured all of their Apple stocks, which includes the proceeds from the sale of Beats by Dre.
Nicole will get 4 of the 10 vehicles that they own, and she will keep the jewelry, cash, and bank accounts that she maintained during their marriage.
She will also acquire the household items, that belong to her, that Dre put in storage.
According to the settlement agreement, Nicole will not receive spousal support, and she must pay her own legal fees, which are estimated to be in the millions.
Dre and Nicole Young are already divorced according to Dre’s lawyer Laura Wasser, who is known for filing to end the marriage first and deal with the financial split later.
Dre’s net worth is estimated to be $820 million, and due to a prenup, Nicole was not eligible to get half.
All things considered, I would say Dr. Dre made out well in the settlement.
