Dominique Fishback, the amazing actress who is the star of Prime Video’s new series “Swarm” revealed on the “Tamron Hall Show” that the series is not about Beyoncé and the Beyhive.
Tamron told Dominique that several articles said “Swarm” is the Beyhive and Ni’Jah is Beyoncé before she asked Dominique if the series is about Beyoncé and the Beyhive.
Dominque responded:
No, it really isn’t.
I think in order for us to, uh, I think relate to it more, you have to see somebody that… We know as a society how much we love Beyoncé, right?…
And in this show, it’s like an alternate universe if Beyoncé didn’t exist, and it was this woman named Ni’Jah.
Tamron continued to press Dominique by letting her know that there was an article that cited 22 examples that the series is about Beyoncé, including Ni’Jah’s character being on the “Running Scared Tour” in comparison to Beyoncé’s “On the Run Tour.”
Tamron then pulled up a side-by-side picture of Beyoncé and Ni’Jah, addressed the similarities in their hairstyles, and asked Dominique if she sees any similarities.
Dominique bowed out gracefully and said, “I mean, I didn’t write the show. You gonna have to ask Donald Glover and them.”
