Disney+ (and Hulu) have released the teaser trailer for the forthcoming series, “Becoming Karl Lagerfeld,” slated to premiere on July 7.

In 1972, Karl Lagerfeld (played by Daniel Brühl), aged 38 and sans his iconic hairstyle, is a ready-to-wear designer yet to gain widespread recognition.
As he embarks on a passionate affair with the enigmatic Jacques de Bascher (Théodore Pellerin), a charismatic young dandy, Lagerfeld, the most enigmatic figure in fashion, challenges his friend and rival Yves Saint Laurent (Arnaud Valois), a haute couture genius backed by formidable businessman Pierre Bergé (Alex Lutz).
“Becoming Karl Lagerfeld” immerses us in the 1970s, traversing Paris, Monaco, and Rome, as we witness the remarkable rise of this complex and iconic figure in Parisian couture.
Driven by the ambition to ascend as the Emperor of fashion, Lagerfeld navigates between glamour, ego clashes, lavish parties, and tumultuous passions, unveiling the untold story of Karl before Lagerfeld.

The six-part series is set to premiere on Disney+ and Hulu on June 7, 2024.
