🔒 Diddy Ordered To Remain In Custody After Mixed Verdict In Federal Trial

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been denied bond following his conviction on a prostitution-related offense in federal court, ensuring the hip-hop mogul will remain behind bars while awaiting sentencing.

Although Combs was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges — which could have carried a life sentence — the guilty verdict still leaves him facing up to 10 years in prison and a massive fall from grace.

⚖️ Jury Reached Mixed Verdict After Three Days Of Deliberation

The jury reached its decision on Wednesday after deliberating for three days in Combs’ high-profile trial.

The 55-year-old entrepreneur, producer, and cultural icon was found guilty of transporting individuals to engage in prostitution, but cleared of the more serious charges of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and racketeering conspiracy.

Despite avoiding the most severe penalties, the conviction is expected to end Combs’ career as a music executive, fashion mogul, brand ambassador, and reality TV personality.

But, his supporters stood 10 toes down in spite of it all.

📍 Judge Rejects $1M Bond Proposal

Following the verdict, Combs’ legal team, led by Marc Agnifilo, proposed a $1 million bond package backed by family members, with permission for the entertainer to travel between Florida, New York, and Los Angeles.

Agnifilo told the court that Combs would return to his residence at Two Star Island in Florida if released.

However, Assistant U.S. Attorney Molly Comey strongly opposed the request, arguing that Combs — now a convicted felon — posed both a flight risk and a potential danger to the community.

The judge agreed, citing the seriousness of the charges, the weight of the evidence, and the potential for substantial prison time, before ordering that Combs remain in federal custody pending sentencing.

Combs’ former partner, R&B singer Cassie, played a pivotal role in the case.

Her emotional and detailed testimony recounted a decade-long relationship marked by alleged abuse, control, and coercive sex acts.

Her 2023 civil lawsuit is widely believed to have sparked the federal investigation that ultimately led to Combs’ indictment.

Following the verdict, Cassie’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, released a statement praising her bravery and saying, “Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice.”
