Dekalb County, Georgia handed out over $100,000 dollars in gift cards in a vaccination event held on Saturday (August 14).
The event was held at The Galleria at South Dekalb Mall, and citizens were issued $100 gift cards after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
Money proved to be the motivator because numerous cars were lined up before the event started at 8:00am.
Former NBA legends Dominique Wilkins and Dikembe Mutumbo were on hand to support the event that was sponsored by the Dekalb County government.
Reportedly, Georgia is one of the eight states that account for 51% of the COVID hospitalizations in the entire country.
