Carl Crawford has been arrested for felony domestic violence for allegedly choking his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint. I know, that’s a lot.
According to reports, the ex-MLB star split from his girlfriend after a two-and-a-half-year relationship. He reached out to her to see if they could meet at her apartment to talk on May 8.
The woman claims when Carl arrived he allegedly removed his semi-automatic handgun from his pocket, unloaded the clip, and ejected a round, and began walking towards her while holding the gun.
She says Carl was visibly upset and he began questioning her the new guy she was dating. He warned her that “if she lied to him that he was going to hurt her.”
When the ex-girlfriend attempted to leave, she says Carl Crawford pushed her to the ground in the hallway.
According to the report, Carl then grabbed his ex-girlfriend by her head and neck and questioned how long she had been dating someone else.
She she replied Carl accused her of lying and slammed her head against the wall several times. He began squeezing her neck while holding the gun while questioning if she had a sexual relationship with her new guy.
This went on until her 1-year-old daughter walked over and distracted Carl long enough for her to get up and flee the scene.
Carl Crawford also fled and left his gun behind.
The cops were called and when they arrived, they observed marks on the woman’s neck and injuries to her hand.
After the incident, Carl sent his ex menacing text messages saying, “That wasn’t a beating u just mad I made u confess.”
He also texted that he had paid money to have her new guy tracked down.
Carl Crawford’s charges include assault of a family member and impeding breathing.
He surrendered to authorities on June 4. He is currently in custody and being held on $10,000 bond.
Just three weeks ago, Carl took to social media and posted, “Flexing on my exes.”
This incident happened just a week before a woman and a small child drowned at Carl’s home during a gathering.
