Cardi B took a plea deal in her 2018 strip club assault case involving bartenders Jade and Baddie Gi.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper appeared in court on Thursday and pleaded guilty to 3rd-degree assault and reckless endangerment to avoid going to trial and possibly facing jail time.

Cardi B will have to complete 15 days of community service and there is an order of protection that requires her to stay away from Jade and Baddie Gi for three years.

You may recall that Cardi was accused of ordering an attack on the women in a strip club because she thought Jade had slept with her husband, Offset.

In a statement, Cardi shared why it was important for her to take accountability for her actions in this case:

Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions. As a mother, it’s a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to.

These moments don’t define me and they are not reflective of who I am now. I’m looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most — music and my fans.

Four years later…this case is finally closed.
