Welp. On Monday Blac Chyna lost her $100 million defamation case against the Kardashians.
After 10 hours of deliberations, a Los Angeles jury found that none of the members defamed Chyna, nor did any of them interfere with her contract by convincing the E! Network to cancel her “Rob & Chyna” reality show.
On the jury long-form, jurors did find that the Kardashians acted in bad faith by telling the executives and producers of “Rob & Chyna” that Chyna abused Rob Kardashian.
But, they ultimately found that it had no substantial effect on Chyna’s contract or the fate of the show.
Executives from the E! network, which aired the show, testified that “Rob & Chyna” ended because the relationship ended, not because of the defendants’ actions.
Blac Chyna was awarded no damages.
When the verdict was read she had no visible reaction.
Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner attended most of the 9-day trial, but they weren’t in attendance for the verdict because they were in New York City for the Met Gala.
They were obviously confident in the outcome of this case.
Blac Chyna’s attorney, Lynne Ciani, plans to appeal.
Chyna’s mother, Tokyo Toni, appears to have launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $400,000 to go towards the cost of her daughter’s appeal.
The fundraiser read:
So far, the campaign has collected $250 in donations.
Note: We have not confirmed Tokyo Toni launched this campaign.
The streets of Twitter have been buzzing about this trial and the verdict.
