Today, Apple TV+ released the much-anticipated trailer for “Land of Women,” a six-episode dramedy starring and executive produced by the acclaimed actress Eva Longoria.

The series, which premieres globally on June 26 with two episodes, will follow with new episodes every Wednesday through July 24.

Based on the bestselling novel “La tierra de las mujeres” by award-winning author Sandra Barneda, “Land of Women” promises a captivating blend of drama and comedy.

Longoria stars as Gala, a sophisticated New Yorker whose life is turned upside down when her husband’s unpaid debts attract dangerous criminals.

Forced to flee, Gala escapes to her mother’s hometown in northern Spain with her aging mother Julia, played by the legendary Carmen Maura, and teenage daughter Kate, portrayed by newcomer Victoria Bazúa.

As they attempt to start anew, the trio must navigate the gossip-filled town, which soon unravels their deepest family secrets.

A Stellar Cast and Creative Team

Eva Longoria, best known for her role in “Desperate Housewives,” brings her star power and executive production skills to the project.

She is joined by the iconic Carmen Maura, whose illustrious career includes notable films such as “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown,” and rising star Victoria Bazúa.

Santiago Cabrera, known for his roles in “Big Little Lies” and “Salvation,” also stars in the series.

Land of Women” is directed by Carlos Sedes, an Iris Award winner, and created by Ramón Campos, Gema R. Neira, and Paula Fernández.

The series is produced by Bambú Producciones, with executive producers including showrunner Ramón Campos, Gema R. Neira, Carlos Sedes, Iris Award winner Teresa Fernández-Valdés, Ben Spector, Sandra Condito, and Longoria herself through her production company UnbeliEVAble Entertainment.

Longoria, who founded UnbeliEVAble Entertainment in 2005 to produce film, television, and documentaries, shared her excitement about the series.
