The 5th Texas Court of Appeals upheld the murder conviction of Amber Guyger, the former Dallas cop who killed her neighbor, Botham Jean, in his home.

A panel consisting of three state judges ruled that a Dallas County jury had sufficient evidence to convict Amber of murder in the 2018 shooting death of Botham Jean.

As a result of their decision, Amber Guyger will continue to serve her 10-year prison sentence.

She will become eligible for parole in 2024.

Guyer, claims after working a long shift, she mistook Botham’s apartment for her own and fatally shot him because she thought he was a burglar.

Botham, a 26-year-old accountant, was at home eating a bowl of ice cream before Guyger shot him.

The nerve of her to appeal her conviction when she killed an innocent man because of her horrific “mistake.”

Sit in that cell!
