Vanessa Bryant has settled the $5 million lawsuit filed against her by her mother, Sofia Laine.
You may recall, Sofia sued Vanessa and Kobe Bryant’s estate claiming the late NBA legend promised to “take care of her for the rest of her life.”
She also claimed she worked as a “longtime personal assistant and nanny” for the family and wasn’t paid for it.
Vanessa called B.S. on all of it and said the lawsuit was nothing more than an attempt to extort her.
In March, she asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit to no avail.
So, it looks like Vanessa decided to throw in the towel and just settle the case.
The details of the settlement have not been disclosed.
Sometimes it’s easier to pay folks to go away…even if it’s your mama!
